13.05.2021: Say Good Bye to...John "Johnniiieee" Hughes

Eine der grossen Stützen unserer Mannschaft wird im kommenden Jahr seinen Weg zurück nach Villach gehen. 

Johnny, Du hast nach einer Verpflichtung in der Saison 2008/09 Deinen Weg über Tappare Finnland nach Laibach, Villach und zurück in unser Team gefunden, wo Du seit 2014 ein Schlüsselspieler warst und zum Publikumsliebling wurdest. 

Du hattest sogar Deinen eigenen privaten kleinen Fanclub in unseren Reihen und hast uns auch in der CHL mit Deinen Skills und der selbstlosen Art begeistert, mit der Du nicht nur auf Topscorer Jagd warst sondern zum Assist-König aufgestiegen bist.

Nicht nur im professionellen Umfeld hast Du Dich in Salzburg wohlgefühlt, sondern hast Dich auch privat voll und ganz auf Salzburg eingelassen und hier Deine Familie gegründet.

Wir werden Dich vermissen und wünschen Dir viel Glück und Erfolg bei den Adlern.

A key player of our team is on his way back to Villach in the upcoming season.

Johnnie, after your first season in Salzburg  2008/09 you found your way back into our team via Tappare Finland, Ljubljana and Villach in 2014.  Here you became a key player and alltime favourite for the majority of the Salzburg fans.  

You even had your private little fanclub within our own ranks and excited us in the CHL as well with your skills, stickhandling and your selfless attitude. You  not only were striving for the Topscorer position but crowned yourself "king of assists" over the years.

But you did not only enjoy your professional environment in Salzburg, you committed to our Country Salzburg wholly and founded your little family here.

We all will miss you and wish you lots of luck and success with the "Eagles" of Villach.
